Romec's advanced production facilities house the very
latest in equipment and machinery, to compliment our
production process.
The process starts with the laser cutting of ferrous
and non-ferrous materials using the 'Bystronic'
or 'Trumpf' Laser Machines .
The machines process:
mild steel from 0.5mm to
20mm thick
stainless steels and their alloys
from 0.5mm to 10mm thick.
aluminium from 0.5mm to
6mm thick
The lasers are fully automated and can process
sheet sizes ranging 100mm x100mm up to 1500mm
x 3000mm. Control systems are linked via the network
or DNC (Direct Numerical Control) back to the
design and production CAD/CAM computer systems.
The lasers are complimented by our Trumpf
CNC Punch Presses . Each with 16 station
tool facilities with 360degree rotation on every
tool. These machines are capable of punching materials
from 0.5mm to 6.5mm thick, in sheet sizes from 300mm
x 300mm to 1250mm x 2500mm (even larger utilizing
sheet turning).
To ensure we maintain the quality and accuracy
provided by our CNC cutting machines we compliment
them with CNC Press Brakes , for
folding the processed parts. These presses can accommodate
products up to 3000mm long and up to 8mm thick,
depending on the material being formed.
We then move onto Robotic CNC Welding
. The robot welding cell uses the latest
state of the art Panasonic Robot with welding
transformer for repeated accuracy and
weld positioning.
CNC tube manipulation is another specialist area
of Romec expertise. The Addison CNC Tube
Bender is designed to manipulate tube
and sections of various sizes and wall thickness.
The production facilities also incorporate a complete
range of Fabrication Machinery
to complete the production process.
As part of the finishing process Romec have in-house
Powder Coating Plants , with a
complete range of finishes. The finishing facility
can accommodate large volume products on-line, but
two additional stand-alone of-line booths (complete
with ovens) are used for larger sized and smaller
volume products. The powder coating plant offers
Iron phosphate pre-treatment along
with shot blasting and glass bead surface
preparation.
